Saturday Soundtracks: Full Throttle

After a week off, it's time to get back to Saturday Soundtracks. This week, a bit of rock from LucasArt's Full Throttle.

Hot on the heels of LucasArt's impressive library of adventure games (including Day of The Tentacle and Monkey Island), Full Throttle tells the story of the Pole Cats bike gang, who are framed for the murder of the founder of Corley Motors. After a straightforward opening sequence, the game features lots of fighting (both on and off bikes), item gathering and investigating the well drawn environments on the trail of main bad guy Rip Burger (voiced by none other than Mark Hamill!).

I always remember the first time I got to play the demo of Full Throttle on one of my dad's old macs; a stylish point and click adventure game with plenty of fun dialogue, original style and one of the best rock soundtracks out there. Case in point: this little number that kicks off the opening credits and introduces you to the story. It's a short and sweet game that is easy to get into with plenty of rewarding moments.
